Why we’re leaving Florida

I came across a random quote the other day: “Architecture is Frozen Music.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832). Taking a look around the Tampa area makes me afraid of the hack who composed the music that is Florida architecture.

Why the priority of the garage? Why the gravel garden? Why the huge beer can downtown? Any ideas to reverse the trend? Could we just stop buying ugly houses and demand housing that is palatable? At least can I get some earplugs?

So true! Being in Atlanta last week reminded me of the ugly area that we now call home. We just have to remind ourselves that at least we have good friends which are hard to find in even the most beautiful of cities.

I hear you, good friends are more valuable than a bungalow-style house with a wrap-around porch. Seriously.
