Our friend Traveler took a brief detour and who could blame him? He stepped off the trail for the birth of his newest grandson Jackson “Jack” Clark Dickens. Definitely a happy time for their family. He stepped back on the trail today and will be finishing Georgia soon. When he enters Great Smoky Mountain National Park, we probably won’t hear from him for a number of days, as there’s not much access to the trail there.
As a side note, Jennifer and I celebrated our first anniversary in the Smokies at Balsam Mountain Inn in Balsam, North Carolina. It was a beautiful lodge nestled in the mountains, had a marvelous time. Much to do in the area from white water rafting, rock-hopping, and hiking. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend staying there. Here’s a few pictures from our archive, hope this new application works for you!

Maybe I’m the only one who reads your Blogs in the reverse order, so I have comments on several. Love the picture below of the 2 boys! Gotta get more of that, you are making me envious of the plethora of red fruity goodness that ya’ll have down there! I adore that fact that you both are so intentional about blooming where you’re planted, if only 3 years. Chad and I have talked about it and we really would be your friends, even if we weren’t related. ya’ll would be our “hey, who makes us laugh harder than anyone else, encourages us with their commitment to marriage, and knows more about random stuff than we ever will”- oh yeah, Jen and Ave!
lastly, kudos on the musing about what our song is. Favorite part, our actions we take are an interpretive dance of our song. Very heavy and good! Lovin’ the blog world,
Rebecca
